We will try to make frame only (FO) and mullion doors (ML) as easy as possible to order.
Basically, on the wood door pages: series 100 and series 200, you can order any of them as frame only. This
means you do not select a panel profile, and the door will be just the frame and prepped for you to insert your glass panel or whatever you have planned as a panel. Series 300 and 400 frame selections are identical to
series 100 and 200 respectively. Thus, for frame only or mullion doors, all part number coding will be that of the 100 and 200 series. Mullion doors are the same frame, but divided into multiple "lite" openings. You
can choose from ML4 (4-lite), ML6 (6-lite), or ML8 (8-lite). Arch top doors, designs 201 and 205 can have two columns of lites, and then multiple rows, thus ML4, ML6, and ML8. Square design doors, style 200, and then
all the mitered corner doors in series 100, can have the same 4, 6, and 8 lite patterns, but also a 9-lite. The 9-lite pattern will be 3 rows and 3 columns. Style 200 door can also be made with the 9-lite Brittney
pattern. This is still 3 rows and 3 columns, but the center lite is large and the mullion rails are pushed more toward the edges. This door is actually labeled as style 299 ML9 9-lite mullion.
Whether the doors are unfinished or finished, they can be frame only or mullion. On WOOD door selections, pricing is done a little differently for frame only and mullion doors. We will use 9" as a constant factor for
the width calculation despite what your width is. That is multipled by the height to determine the square footage. Then pricing shown on the 100 and 200 series pages is how you figure your pricing. When you have mullion
lites however, pricing is figured the exact same way, but you add in $4.60 per lite opening. Thus a 6-lite door adds $27.60 to the cost of the door for the mullion lites.
On special door style 299, use the actual width as the width calculation, not 9". And for RTF frame only and mullion door information: we have posted that on the Series 800 page with the other RTF info. When requesting a quotation, and desiring frame only or mullion doors: just note it on the
quotation request per door line that it applies to. On mullion choices, do remember to state how many lite openings. The diagram below shows the three basic mullion doors: design 200, 201, and 205.
Designs 299 S ML9 SUN and 298 S ML8 SUN are specialty designs. Design 292 S ML7 SUN will come in left and right versions.
A couple mullion door examples are shown below.
