We will call for your VISA, MC, AMEX, or Discover card number, or you can call us. But please DO NOT submit credit card numbers in an unsecured e-mail. Your protection is important to us. We will call you if you provide a phone number and a good time of day to reach you. Work or home, whichever is best for you.

Mail order: we have a simple mail order form on our web site. If paying by check or money order, we do ask that you call or e-mail us first with the items that you are interested in. This way we can estimate the freight charge and you can include that in your total. Notes about freight follow directly below.

Shipping Charges: Shipping estimates (summary below, but this link will take you to a page with actual examples of shipping charges)

~~~~We are very good at calculating freight in advance if you would like to know prior to ordering~~~~

• Shipping charges are calculated by the weight of your package and your zip code (or country code).
• We do NOT use value tiers as you see in many mail order magazines or other web sites.
• We apply the actual freight expense.
• Most direct ships have set freight amounts as determined by our vendors, not us.
• Some replacement part orders such as replacement towel bars or decor rings for halogen lights will have a $5 charge if the order is called into us. Only if called in to us. If placed on-line, that charge does not apply. On items that the phone fee applies to, there will be notes shown with the item. No surprises. We state it up front.

Most orders ship via UPS Ground. Most domestic one and two pound packages ship via Priority Mail because it is much lower cost. Packages shipping to US States or territories off the North American continent are generally shipped via Priority Mail with tracking and insurance when required.

We can ship via FedEx Priority Overnight, Standard Overnight, 2-day, and 3-day Saver upon request, and also via UPS Next Day Air, 2nd Day Air, and 3-day Select. This is done per your request, otherwise Ground is the default.
Air shipments are premium services and thus more expensive than UPS Ground shipping.

Orders to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam, and the US Virgin Islands , will ship via Priority Mail, with insurance and delivery confirmation when necessary. Priority Mail is a very affordable option to these areas.

• Orders to Canada will ship via International 1st Class Mail, International Priority Mail, or UPS on extremely heavy large items. UPS International or FedEx International used only upon request. We try not to use UPS to Canada if we do not have to. The US postal system has done an EXCELLENT job delivering packages worldwide for us.
• Orders to Europe and other countries, we will select the lowest freight option without sacrificing travel speed. Generally International Priority Mail is our default method. UPS or Fed Ex International are other methods we can use.
• For example, sending packages via International Priority Mail generally take about 7 to 8 days to arrive to customers in Australia, about 7 to 12 days to arrive to Canadian customers, and generally 9 to 14 days to arrive to U.K. customers and other European nations.

Firewall Alert: If you have Firewall software from McAfee, Norton, or any other service, and you accidentally have the standard Windows Firewall® turned on, this can prevent you from loading secure web pages . If you encounter this, turn off ONLY one of your firewall services, normally the prepackaged Windows Firewall as long as your subscribed service is kept up to date.

Our policy is very straight forward. We do NOT share any information with anyone!

Whatever data you send to us, stays with us. For direct ship orders of certain custom hardware, we submit your shipping address to our vendor so they know where to ship it. We have a couple of vendors that ask for phone numbers - only so they can place them on the UPS shipping label. They are instructed not to do anything else with your phone number. On rare occasions, we do give a vendor permission to call a customer if crucial clarity is needed on a custom hardware order. But this is very uncommon.

We back up our data in-house. We refuse to use any on-line back up services. Your information stays with us, not some web storage facility. So to cut to the chase, whatever info you send us is kept safe and confidential. We do not have e-mail lists. We do not buy e-mail lists. We sell no e-mail addresses. We believe in treating you how we like to be treated. And we don't want our information in the wrong hands, and we respect that of every one of our customers!
