Ashford Maple miter corner raised panel door from Woodmont Doors

The Ashford style is the first shown of the miter corner doors from Woodmont. It is also one of the few that comes as a raised panel door. It can also come as a flat panel door, which is style Ashford RRP Maple with the reversed raised panel P0. Drawer fronts are a slab front with the matching CLB edge. The door frame is solid maple and 3/4" thick.

The raised panel or reversed raised panel will be solid wood when ordering any of the translucent stain colors that show the grain through them. Grain runs vertical only. For any of the solid stain colors, the panel is an MDF panel. If you opt to order your doors unfinished, you have two choices: stain grade maple which will have solid maple panels. Or paint grade maple which will have MDF panels. The drawer front regardless of finished or unfinished is solid maple slab drawer front, with horizontal grain.

In the shaker style doors section of our Woodmont Doors selections, a shaker door has the mortise and tennon corners: joints butted together at a 90 degree angle. A mitered corner door has corners that meet at 45 degree angles, like a picture frame. So a miter corner door isn't really considered a shaker style door. It may look the same, and if painted a solid stain color, you will not see the joint lines. But for the sake of not adding confusion, when the corners are mitered, we will refer to this style as flat panel or plywood panel. Or raised panel in the case of the Ashford design. We will reserve the term shaker for the M&T corner doors.

Do note, the Ashford door with Panel #1 is a raised panel door. A richer looking door, and a little more expensive because of the thicker solid wood panels. Panel 0, called RRP, will give you the flat panel look, Ashford RRP Maple.
