Quincy Maple plywood panel door from Woodmont Doors
This Quincy Maple design has the mortise and tennon corners, but a bit more scrolly inside frame profile. So this is not a true shaker look because of the scroll work. It is a more refined plywood panel design. The door frame is solid maple, 3/4" thick. Plywood panel is a real veneer panel when ordering any of the translucent stain colors that show the grain through them. For any of the solid stain colors, the panel is an MDF plywood panel.
If you opt to order your doors unfinished, you have two choices: stain grade maple which will have a door with the veneer panel. Or paint grade maple which will have the door with the MDF plywood panel. The drawer front regardless of finished or unfinished is solid maple.
The plywood veneer panel will have grain lines that run up and down. On the slab drawer fronts if you choose to order some, the grain will run left to right. If you choose the Quincy5 design shown a bit lower on the page, the plywood panel on the matching drawer front will have a vertical grain. BUT, if you opt for the RRP choice, then the panel on the drawer front will have a horizontal grain. Whenever you may have any questions about how that works, please ask us.
Minimum door size 7-1/2" w x 7-1/2" h
Minimum drawer front size 6" w x 3-1/2" h
Minimum drawer front size 6" w x 3-1/2" h
3/4" thick 2-5/8" frame with plywood panel
Was referred to as the old Woodmont 400-WL-PRE door and 500-PRE slab drawer front.
The PRE edge has a couple of scroll dips to it. A bit more fancy.
Note, at one time Woodmont had a PRE-FF edge which was a longer cut to give the appearance of a mock raised panel look on a slab front. THIS IS NOT THAT. The PRE edge is the same edge but not cut deeper into the middle of the front. Drawer front will have the slab appearance.
Available in all 15 maple colors shown below.
If selecting the Quincy RRP Maple (reversed raised panel), minimum door size becomes 8" x 8".
Profiles: W frame 2-5/8", plywood panel, PRE edge. If selecting the RRP panel, panel 0 is the solid wood reversed panel.
Then you can tap or click the colors after that to see the full size Quincy Maple door and drawer fronts with their color names.
Quincy5 Maple door and drawer front design
There is another option to the Quincy design. The Quincy5. The 5 after the name means that the drawer front choice comes as a matching 5-piece drawer front. So if you would like a matching 5-piece flat panel drawer front instead of the slab front, select the Quincy5 Maple when you start your quotation request or order. A picture of the Quincy5 design is shown next.
For the 5-piece drawer front, the minimum size requirement is 6-1/2" x 4-1/4" when selecting the plywood panel. If selecting the RRP panel, then 8" x 5-5/8". Thus if you require any drawer fronts less in height, you would need to order the slab drawer fronts. 5-piece drawer fronts have a narrower top and bottom rail to accommodate lesser height requirements. M&T corner doors have this luxury of narrower rails. When selecting from the various miter corner designs, all 4 frame pieces are alway equal size.
